STM 2018 New York

You want your youth group to feel like they matter. You want them to feel significant, empowered, and for their lives to count for something. You read about the way the followers of Jesus lived in the first century, and you long for that kind of life — where living out your faith means hearing the voice of God and changing people’s lives.

You want to take your youth to the next level with God. You want changed lives.

Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Through various short and long-term programs, Adventures In Missions helps people from all walks of life discover the world, who Jesus is, and what Jesus has called them to: making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and being his witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).

Imagine experiencing firsthand how to listen to the voice of God, serve others in high-need ministry contexts, and make a real, tangible difference in the lives of others.

If you want to join a Christ-centered community committed to doing what the first generation of disciples did, then it’s time for you to join us in…

New York is the ultimate destination for people to chase their greatest hopes and dreams. Whether for Broadway or business, visitors stream in from all corners of the globe. The largest city in the United States, more than 8 million people call New York City home. As the major port of entry for immigration, New York is one of the most culturally diverse areas of the US—as many as 800 languages can be heard in New York City. Will you share God’s love in New York City?

Ministry

  • Community Outreach: Your team will meet up with New Yorkers in one of the city’s parks, developing relationships and connecting with individuals from different cultures. You’ll be able to share God’s love through conversation with those who may not know Him. For those who feel forgotten or rejected by the church, you can connect them with a local church who cares.
  • Kids Ministry: From VBS in the mornings to sports outreach in the afternoons the opportunities to share the love of Christ—and have fun—with the local children are endless.
  • Work Projects: Work with the local children in a work project, like a creating a community garden or painting.
  • Cross-Cultural Ministry: By being part of an faith-based education retention program, you will have the opportunity to tutor in science, math, and reading, in addition to a faith-based activity with the children of Dominican locals.
  • Urban Plunge: On this trip to New York, you will experience the city as well as get to know the people who call it home. You can ride the subway, visit Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, or ride to the top of the Empire State Building, while you live and share your faith.

God is calling you to journey with Him, to share His love with the nations and establish His Kingdom on earth. Will you join Him in New York?
