Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Through various short and long-term programs, Adventures helps people from all walks of life discover the world, who Jesus is, and what He has called them to: making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and being His witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).

Millions of guests visit the Windy City each year to experience the shopping, restaurants, and world famous landmarks. The most diverse region in the Midwest, Chicago boasts over 200 ethnic and language groups. From the famous deep-dish pizza and Ukrainian borsch to dim sum in Chinatown, it’s all authentic. However, Chicago also remains one of the most segregated cities in the US. Tensions run high, and the homeless population continues to grow throughout the city.
Chicago needs to experience the power of God to break the stronghold of poverty and hopelessness.
Ministry
While in Chicago, you will partner with Dunamis Life Church to share the hope and love of Jesus in a real and relevant way through a variety of ministry opportunities.

Children’s Ministry: Teams will have the opportunity to serve with a day care program, building relationships, playing games and possibly accompanying them on field trips to the zoo, museum or other locations.

Homeless Ministry: Teams will hit the streets to build relationships with the homeless. This could look like bringing snow cones and setting up a game of checkers or just sitting and getting to know people. Teams will also have the opportunity to serve in homeless shelters.

Work Projects: This summer, the church is working on building a playground at one of the local public school that your team could get the chance to help with.

Urban Plunge: Share your faith while exploring the city! Ride the train, take in one of Chicago’s many museums, ride the giant Navy Pier Ferris Wheel, or grab a Chicago-style hot dog from one of the carts that dot downtown.
Lodging
Participants will be housed at the church where you will have access to bathrooms and showers, and will have dinners provided.
