One of the oldest cultures on earth, Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee. Literature and archaeological finds date back to Bible times – including the servant from Ethiopia mentioned in the book of Acts. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church even claims to be the modern day home of the Ark of the Covenant. But despite its rich beauty, culture, and history, Ethiopia is a land of deep heartbreak.
Ministry
While in Ethiopia, you and your team will serve with HOPEthiopia. HOPEthiopia has the vision of providing an environment of love and security to children rejected and abandoned by parents and relatives as a result of the AIDS epidemic and/or other social conditions in Ethiopia. We ask you to come with an open heart and to expect the unexpected! All you need to serve with this team is a willingness to bring the restorative love of Christ into the heart of Ethiopia.

Community Outreach: You will join with their ministry by bringing the love of Jesus into the communities they have created to help children grow and develop into young Christian adults. They also provide residences to retired pastors, creating a community atmosphere where the reality of family, respect, and dignity is restored.

Children’s Ministry: You can expect to do a variation of ministry with this incredible group of people, but a large portion of time will be dedicated to children’s ministry through encouragement, fun, and sharing your faith in tangible ways.
Lodging
You’ll stay in a dorm-style guesthouse with access to bathrooms, showers, electricity, and clean water.
God is calling you to journey with Him, to share His love with the nations and establish His Kingdom on earth.
Pray for Ethiopia
Massive growth in Protestant and Independent churches creates a great expectation for further harvest. Pray for revival and growth to be sustained and for divisions and carnality to be avoided.
