Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Through various short and long-term programs, Adventures helps people from all walks of life discover the world, who Jesus is, and what He has called them to: making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and being His witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).
You want to do something that matters. You want to feel empowered and to make an impact on the world around you. You read about the way the followers of Jesus lived in the first century, and something in you is longing to do more – to live out your faith, hear the voice of God, and display His love to those who need it.
You want to go deeper in your relationship with God. You want to see lives changed.
Imagine experiencing firsthand how to listen to the voice of God, serve others in high-need ministry contexts, and make a real difference in the lives of others.
If you want to join a Christ-centered community committed to doing what the first generation of disciples did, then it’s time for you to join us in…
Nicaragua
The poorest nation in Central America, almost 80% of Nicaraguans live on less than $2 a day. More than half the population lives beneath the poverty line. One in four Nicaraguans is starving or suffering from malnutrition. Grown men line the streets in the early morning, empty bottles still in their hands. It’s not uncommon to see kids stumbling around the neighborhood sniffing glue.
Just outside the city is an enormous dump where dozens of families rummage through the sea of trash, looking for plastic bottles to recycle. Families are being ripped apart while many of the mothers do all they can to just keep the house clean and mouths fed. There is a huge need for role models, discipleship, and other community building efforts. Restore Educate Activate Perpetuate (REAP) Granada reaches out into the community in multiple ways: through worship, Bible studies, sports, dinners, visiting local hospitals, prison ministry, and more.
Ministry
Our men’s trip to Nicaragua is aimed at the man who desires to have fellowship with like-minded men, focused on working shoulder to shoulder. That could mean pouring cement, pounding nails, or planting trees. We will be working with the men of REAP Granada, centering our work in the neighborhood of Pantanel, where drugs, crime, and disillusionment reign. We will be involved in a combination of activities ranging from hard work to walking the streets of Pantanel; sitting in the local jail talking with men that have not hope or spending our evenings hanging out on the porch of REAP Granada and sharing life stories. Come join us for a week of ministry, work, and play that is sure to rejuvenate your vision for what God is doing in this world.
The main theme of this trip will be: “Men of faith will be men of action”. Intergenerational and intercultural ministry will be our focus as we partner with the Adventures Base and REAP Granada.
During this trip, our team will form a band of brothers who will pray, support, and encourage both each other and our host, Scott Esposito, and his team of men in their continued work in Nicaragua.
Will you be the hands and feet of Jesus in Nicaragua?
