STM 2019 – Philippines

From locations.adventures.org

Adventures in Missions has taken more than 115,000 people on mission trips around the world. Through various short and long-term programs, Adventures helps people from all walks of life discover the world, who Jesus is, and what He has called them to: making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28) and being His witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1).

You want to do something that matters. You want to feel empowered and to make an impact on the world around you. You read about the way the followers of Jesus lived in the first century, and something in you is longing to do more – to live out your faith, hear the voice of God, and display His love to those who need it.

You want to go deeper in your relationship with God. You want to see lives changed.

Imagine experiencing firsthand how to listen to the voice of God, serve others in high-need ministry contexts, and make a real difference in the lives of others.

If you want to join a Christ-centered community committed to doing what the first generation of disciples did, then it’s time for you to join us in…

Known best for its beaches, the Philippines appears to be paradise. However, not everything is perfect in this beautiful country. Many Filipinos live on less than 15 cents per day and are just trying to survive. They’ve forgotten what it feels like to know they matter and can have hope for the future.

Ministry

You and your team will partner with Kids International Ministries (KIM) in Manila, Philippines.

  • Children’s Ministry: You will work with KIM’s children’s home, toddler room, and schools: playing with the kids, and taking care of the toddlers including feeding, playing with them, and developing their relational skills.

  • Sports Ministry: You will quickly learn they love to play sports in the Philippines! While working with the school, you may do some sports camps to include basketball or volleyball.

  • Working with at-risk girls: KIM also has a rescue home for girls who have been verbally, physically, and/or sexually abused. This home enables them to live in a safe place and pursue education and a healthy lifestyle.

  • Feeding Ministry: KIM has feeding ministry twice a day throughout Manila and the mountain regions. This is an awesome opportunity to travel around, meet people, and share with them about Jesus.

Lodging

You’ll stay at a base with electricity, wifi, water, showers, and toilets.

God is calling you to journey with Him, to share His love with the nations and establish His Kingdom on earth. Will you join Him in the Philippines?

Pray for the Philippines

Increased spiritual unity. The Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC) establishes warm fellowship and cooperates in developing common goals for ministry among 68 denominations, 150 independent congregations and 170 mission agencies and parachurch groups. Philippines for Jesus (PFJ) is a network of Pentecostal and charismatic groups. The National Council of Churches in the Philippines (NCCP) covers more mainline groups. Many local and regional Ministerial Fellowships are established as well. Pray that this unity continues and strengthens and that it extends across broader confessional lines.
