Springfield, nicknamed “Queen of the Ozarks”, is a city in southwestern Missouri and is the third-largest city in the state of Missouri. Just north of the Ozark Mountains, Springfield, Missouri is rooted in the celebration of family, friends and life’s genuine moments. With a population of approximately 160,000, the ministry will have a strong “Urban” leaning.
What will we be doing in Springfield?
Your team will have opportunities to join Adventures’ Missional Community and partner with several local ministries which will include:

Homeless Ministry, including providing meals, individual ministry, and prayer.

After school program with the neighborhood kids. Many of these children don’t have a role model to look up to.

Serving meals at the soup kitchen and ministering to people over dinner

Providing food for the needy at the local food bank

Vacation Bible School for the local kids

Sports ministry
Where will we be staying?
Your team will be staying at one of our partner’s facilities, a very large facility that was previously a school. Your students will be sleeping in what were previously classrooms on the floor which means you will need air mattresses and sleeping bags. We will eat all our meals together and participate in praise, worship, and debriefing.
