Swaziland is like no place on earth. The geographical beauty is breathtaking but the raw truth of this tiny nation surprises most people. The rolling hills and mountainous regions are gorgeous for the eye to see but the heaviness of the oppression of this country hits soon after.
Swaziland has one tragic secret it cannot hide: AIDS.
No country has been more ravaged by this deadly disease. With the highest rate of AIDS infection in the world, AIDS has affected almost every family in Swaziland.
AIDS has knocked out a majority of the country. It is said that by 2050 that Swaziland will no longer exist.
There is a hopelessness among Swazi people, a loging for hope. A Savior.
Forty percent of Swazi children have been orphaned because of infected parents. There are abandoned children everywhere you look. Mothers are widowed, left with no means to support their hungry families.
These statistics continue to increase at an alarming rate, and these women and children are often left malnourished, uneducated and without hope.
The widows and orphans devastated by AIDS in Swaziland need you.
During your time in Africa, you will serve those left behind by the AIDS pandemic.
You may have the opportunity to love on and feed orphans each day as you serve at local care points. You might visit the homes of the poor and dying, listening to their stories and encouraging their souls with the grace and acceptance that they can find in Jesus.
You will bring joy back to the resilient Swazi people as you show them that they are precious to God.

***You will need to arrive the night before the start of your trip. Lodging will be provided as well as transportation to and from the lodging location in Johannesburg. The bus will arrive from Swaziland on the first day of your trip to take you to your ministry site in Swaziland.***
