Located in Southeast Asia, tropical Thailand is bordered by Burma, Laos and Cambodia. This kingdom is home to 64 million people who primarily speak Thai and where most believe in Theravada Buddhism.
Pad thai is delicious (made with noodles, sprouts, shrimp/chicken, garnished with peanuts)! Beautiful beaches line the coast making Thailand a popular travel destination and a great honeymoon locale.
Unfortunately, the red-light districts in some of the cities attract an uglier form of tourism; women, children, and men from Thailand and other nations are exploited as prostitutes.
This team will minsiter in southern Thailand in partnership with a ministry that seeks to provide at risk women a way out of the commercial sex trade and empower them to remain free and out of the trade. This ministry also is expanding to help prevent vulnerable women and children from being forced into prostitution and to assist migrant workers. Much of your ministry will be to intercede in prayer and the build relationships to be living examples of God’s love and heart for the women and children of the red-light district.
