As part of this Adventures in Missions trip, you will encounter the heart of our ministry and what it means to live a life of radical faith and sacrifice. It's a glimpse at how you could be living differently.
This trip is open to adults of all ages and backgrounds. It's a Christian mission experience, so prayer and biblical principles will be an important part of it.

About Guatemala
The third-largest nation in Central America, Guatemala is a rugged land of mountains, beautiful lakes, and lush vegetation. It's also full of pain, poverty, and people without hope.
Only beginning to recover from a long, brutal civil war, this developing country still faces many social problems. It is one of the ten poorest countries in Latin America, and the distribution of income is unequal amongst the people. Poverty is prevalent in rural areas and among the poorly educated.
Malnutrition rates among Guatemalan children are abysmally high, and the country ranks among the worst in Latin America for life expectancy, infant mortality, and maternal mortality.
Unlike many Latin American countries, Guatemala still has a large indigenous population (the Maya) who have retained a distinct identity. Deeply rooted in the rural highlands of Guatemala, many indigenous people speak a Mayan language, follow traditional religions, and adhere to village customs.
The practice of traditional Mayan religion is increasing as a result of the cultural protections established under the Civil War peace accords. The two cultures have made Guatemala a complex society deeply divided between rich and poor.

Includes: Lodging, food, and in-country transportation; we will take care of all the details and logistics once you arrive.
Lodging: Normal room with shared bathroom and multiple beds.
Schedule: Your adventure begins in Miami, departing for Guatemala on Saturday afternoon, February 2, 2013.
Saturday evening, you will come together as a team for a time of connection and conversation about what it means to be “wrecked.” This will be an opportunity to prepare your heart and mind for what's to come.
For the next three days, you'll experience a blend of hands-on ministry and teaching time with Jeff Goins and Clint Bokelman, learning how to translate these life-changing experiences into everyday action in your life.
You'll minister to the fatherless in orphanages and connecting with the forgotten families who live and scavenge in the Guatemala City dump.You'll also spend a time debriefing and decompressing your experiences. We may even take a trip to the nearby Pacaya Volcano.
Wednesday morning, you'll return to Miami in time to check in for your afternoon flights home to share your vision of change. It will be a short, but intense experience, full of memories and moments that will remain with you.
And of course, the real wrecked experience begins when you get home.
