STM 2020 Medical Missions Costa Rica

From locations.adventures.org

If you feel that stirring inside your heart for more, you’re hungry to experience God moving all over the world, and you want to share the life-changing love of Jesus with people you meet, then you absolutely do not want to pass up this opportunity to join our trip to Costa Rica.

What will I be doing in Costa Rica?

During your trip, you and your team will have the opportunity to meet the physical medical needs of hundreds of Costa Rican people.

Medical experience is helpful, but not required for our short term missions trips. There are a variety of ways you can serve that don’t require a medical degree such as assisting with registration, ministering with families and praying for those around you.

If you are a medically trained professional, you may establish triage, tend patients, dispense medication, treat infections and skin conditions, common stomach issues, general pain, hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory conditions in the clinic. (You’re also welcome to pray and minister with patients too!)

On Dental Trips, you will be able to care for patients in need of extractions as well as treating abscesses.

The team will also provide general health education for patients during community education classes and specific education at the provider stations to help patients prevent future illness.

Where will I stay?

During your time serving in Costa Rica, you’ll stay at our Adventures Base in San Jose. The base is set up for dorm-style living and each person will have their own bed. In this beautiful, open floor plan, there are plenty of bathrooms, showers, wifi, and a kitchen on site – with plenty of delicious coffee flowing!

How can I make a difference?

God doesn’t just move on the mission field – He moves right where you are today. But sometimes it takes a journey to discover how to see Him in the everyday and how to live life on mission wherever He leads you next in the world.

Whether you’re a mom or dad looking for a family trip next year, a youth pastor interested in taking a church trip or you simply want to go out into the world and share the Gospel, Costa Rica may be a great fit for you.

Friend, you won’t regret it. You are a world changer. Now go and change the world.
