Discipleship Program (6 Months)
Spend 6 months alongside other Gap Year alumni being deeply discipled by field mentors David and Jenna Towns, as well as other members of the Nsoko community. You will serve with and learn from GAP staff, and partner with the local community.
You will be living in a 3 bedroom co-ed house on one of the farms in Nsoko. You will be living in community with 6-7 other racers who have just finished their race. There will also be at least one live-in house mentor.
You will learn from several instructors, both in Swaziland and from the States. You will be exposed to what it looks like to be a long-term missionary, have classes geared for specific areas of working with the GAP program, and gain knowledge of the Word by diving into various scriptural topics in order to develop and strengthen a faith that truly is your own. Some of these sessions will be more formal classroom settings, while others will be hands on experience or simply through genuine life in community.
Months 1-3 will be about 40% “classroom” time and 60% helping the GAP staff in any way needed.
Months 4-6 will be 70% classroom/discipleship time and 30% joint project connected to the eSwatini base efforts.
