Thousands of refugees are fleeing to Europe in search of a safe, new start. For many crossing the Mediterranean, Lesvos, Greece is the first of many stops on a long journey to a new life. Partnered with Samaritan’s Purse and EuroRelief, Adventures in Missions was invited to bring man power to a relief stop.

This relief point has a huge tent which holds about 200 people; currently up to 1500 people arrive every day.

Our first team on the ground was a World Race squad, who served 12-hour shifts throughout the month of October. We have a few teams on the ground in November, and are looking for teams of at least 7 to commit to a length of 35 days in the upcoming months.

Will you go and offer hope in the midst of this crisis?

Relief teams will organize supplies coming in from relief groups, distribute them to refugees, help with crowd control for those flooding the island through the relief tent, and gather groups onto buses and help get them to their next destination.

We need people who can think on their feet, handle problems in the midst of crisis situations, and work long hours in a high-stress environment.

You’ll be among the first to give refugees blankets, flashlights, food, diapers, clothing, and other necessities, while also bringing a flicker of hope and peace in the midst of drastic circumstances.
